Who doesn’t love a little bit of wrist candy? Pearl bracelets are a stunning way to add a bit of glamour to any outfit – no matter if it is formal, business or casual. At Seven Seas Pearls, we have a great selection of gorgeous South Sea Pearl bracelets for you to choose from. Our custom designs range from traditional to trendy. If there is something specific you are looking for, we would be happy to create and match a custom piece for you.
South Sea Pearls are one of the three types of saltwater pearls. They are considered to be the most desirable, and are also larger than either Akoya Pearls or Tahitian Pearls. South Sea Pearls are farmed in the waters off of Australia. The beautiful waters provide the perfect environment for the development of these large and lustrous pearls. One thing to keep in mind when considering the purchase of a South Sea Pearl bracelet is to consider what type of event you will be wearing the bracelet to. South Sea Pearls as we previously mentioned are the largest type of saltwater pearl - the average size of a South Sea Pearl is between 10-15mm. Because of this, a solid bracelet strand of 15mm South Sea Pearls will be significantly more formal than single pearl bracelet or a solid bracelet strand of 9mm South Sea Pearls.
South Sea Pearls (like all other types of saltwater pearls) come in a beautiful spectrum of colors. These gorgeous pearls range in color from white, ivory, to silver, champagne, gold, blue to stunning hues of pistachio. Selecting a color is strictly a personal preference. Some prefer more silver tones while others prefer more champagne hues. Personally, we feel that the most beautiful pieces are when these gorgeous colors are mixed together for a single piece of jewelry.
Another element to consider when selecting your first piece of pearl jewelry is to determine what type of pearl shape appeals most to you. Because South Sea Pearls are the largest variety, they also come with the most extreme shapes. These gorgeous gems range from slightly baroque to more extreme baroque, teardrop, round, button, oval and more. As with color and overtone preference, selecting the shape of the pearl is something that depends strictly based on what appeals to you. If you already have a South Sea Pearl necklace and are trying to match a bracelet to create a set, we recommend bringing your necklace into our showroom. At our showroom we have thousands of gorgeous loose South Sea Pearls that can be matched to the shape, rating and color of the existing piece.
